1961 Chevrolet Bel Air - SOLD!!!
What a rare find! We have known the whereabouts of this car for years and finally have purchased it. This 1961 Bel air was bought new in Saline Michigan by John Hartman at A and M Chevrolet. Mr Hartman purchased the car to teach his wife to drive. He died six weeks after he purchased the car. In 1997 the car was purchased out of the estate with an astounding 600 actual miles on it. The car had set idle for some 36 years. The paint had some surface rust and fading so a refinish was in order. The car also had the bumpers rechromed at this point. The car has 4600 miles on it and has just been a showpiece for years now. This year we took the original floor mat out and replaced it with carpeting as the mats are not being reproduced. The headliner was also weak in the car so it was replaced also using NOS material. The car can be displayed at any show... it is very nice to say the least. The paint and interior are both top notch as is the chrome and britework on this one. The 235 High Thrift 6 runs out great and YES you can tell your driving a low mile car when you get behind the wheel! There is nothing else like it! I have some old deocumentation from the original owner, a letter from the second owner and a bills of sale aftewards showing the mileage. Please if you are serious about owning a one of a kind car call Scott at 615 476 1195 for further details!
